Default 400ex Race Questions

I own a 03 400ex. I am new to the atv race world and would like to race this spring and summer. i currently have full dmc exhaust, jets, and stage 2 cam. I was going to race last year but it got rained out in byron, so i have nerf bars and a kill tether switch reqired to race. i was thinking of upgradeing my carb to the edelbroke quick silver carb and if anyone has it i would like to know how it works. i also am thinking of upgradeing my a-arms, rear swing arm, and shocks front and rear. i was wondering weather there is a rule on how wide you can go with the a-arms because i was thinking of going +2 wide and forward +1. the rear swing arm i would like to extend back a few inches, not sure how long is to long and also extend my axle a few inches wider. im not going to bore out my piston untill i blow something up. if anyone could help me out i would appreciate it.
Thanks

I'm not 400ex smart but if you are planning to race MX, 50" is the max width allowed. On any quad, an aftermarket suspension will handle much better than stock.

I agree. you can have the best engine out there and still be slow if the suspension can't take it.
