Compression Question
#1
what are you guys running for compression on your 2 stroke? I'll be getting a new piston soon and an aftermarket head or possibly getting mine milled and I'd like to get as much compression as possible outta this sucker.
Thanks!!

stock 250R should have a healthy 170. I have heard of going to 230- 240 but those would have no top end, but just all bottom end. How much compression do you want out of it? By the way you will have to advance your timimg and go to race fuel. I tested my 250R (snap on tester) at 190 with the stock head gasket and head, and then I did it again on another one and it messured 175, so i was at about 180 i would say. Aftet that i took apart the stock gasket into 3 pieces and used one of the thin ones. 0.009 thick, and havent had a problem yet with it.

I'd like to get as much bottom and mid range punch as I can - I don't care of my top is just speed and no power...
I'm using a cr250r head gasket right now which I could really feel the difference with especially kicking it over(cr is .0015 i think, maybe smaller) anyways, I wouldnt want to run pure race gas, I'd rather mix 110 octane w/ 93 simply because I couldnt afford anything more right now
