Used them many years ago. Good all around tire, light weight and did not vibrate my hands and legs to sleep.

I believe the opposite. They are heavy, only do good in very hardpack and some mud. I think they are not for deep mud, defenitely not for sandy conditions and are very hard compound. I prefer the softer compounds for more traction.

I ride mainly on hardpack, trails, do some muddin... but I've got a rancher 4x2 and I'm lookin for a good set of tires for the rear.

I've looked at the vampire...too aggresive for hardpack and causes problems in the rear end.
I've also looked at the Mud Sharks, Super Swamper,Bear Claws, and Mud Runners. What do you think is best?

I have Dirt Devils on my 4+4 Rancher. Used Foreman 450 12 inch rims 8"...10 ". They are great for my riding especially in rocks, trails, dirt and mud up to the wheel tops. The ride on the trail is great for a 6 ply tire. Hey they aren't claiming to be the greatest mud tire but were plenty good for me. I can ride them on the trail, rocks, roots, and mud all day and not get beat to death. All around tire means comprimise. I am pleased with them, however the Bearclaw is probably just as good, needed the extra puncture resistance Bearclaws are 4ply. Either one would probably be just fine.

Try www.rockymountainatv.com & denniskirk.com they have tires. Rockymountain has really good prices but limited selection. I know there are other sites.

have you ever looked at some blackwaters?

they are kinda aggressive but not true mud tires.... ( says dirtwheeles ) and i agree with that statment because my friend JP has them and they are good for everything...

they don't ring your head off and aren't super aggressive like the vamps

i would go with either the superswampers or blackwaters

( thanx i needed to know abotu the 4x2 and the 4wheeler...the superswampers are used by some of my dad's friends who have 4x2 and seem to like them and keep them for the most part unstuck and aren't to loud...)

need anything else ask me
