Will larger tires front and rear work on 300 4x4?
#1
Looking to go to a taller tire on both the front and the rear mainly for better tire selections and ground clearance. Is this o.k. as long as I keep the ratios the same? Example, 25x10x11 on rears, 24x9x11 on front, instead of the stock tire sizes. Are there any problems I may encounter? Any suggestions on some aggressive mud tires other than vampires and super swampers?

keep the tire sizes one size difference..maybe 26 front and 27 rear..the biggest problem youll have is power loss, larger tirs are heavier and harder to turn for the engine..another problem you might have is they may hit the fenders, depending on what size your looking to go up to,you may have to put a lift kit in.. mud bugd maybe a nother choice,i hera there pretty light..good luck

I think there might be a little bit of a fight between front and rear on it if you did that. I put my rears on the front and put some of my friends 25" tires on the rear and i could tell the front wanted to pull a little faster than the rears. I guess that is the only experience i have. The only way you would find out is if you tried it. If you do, i would be interested if it worked.

I am not sure what the stock size tire is on the 300. But if the stock front is a 25" and the rear is a 26" for example. You would have to go with a 26" in front and 27" in the back to keep things RIGHT in the TRANNY. I wouldn't suggest putting the same size tire on a machine that isn't geared to have the same size on. IF you drive it on HARD pack or pavement for any extended time, you will learn the hard way.
The other option though is if the 330 is like the Rancher where the rims are different but the final tire DIAMETER is the same, then by putting the same size of rims on then you could then put the same size tire on front and back and have no problems.
