Default Jetting

I got a 1987 250R freshly bored .060 over with a aftermarket pipe and open air box with a uni filter. My altitude is under 2000 feet and temperature is between -10 and 0 celcius. I was wondering what you thought the jetting should be? right now i is at 160 main 48 pilot and 3rd needle clip. the air screw is 1 and7/8 out . It will not idle what do you think of this setup??

Thanks

It isnt ported and the head has never been milled. I had it out again last night and it seems to have a slight blubber in first and second around half throttle as well as not idling.

Thanks

thanks for the replies bansheeesmoker. I got one more question for ya I can adjust my idle screw all I want and it doesnt seem to make any difference at all. Is that because of the pilot being to big or is something messed up with the idle screw??

Thanks for your time.

TRY THE PILOT FIRST then mess with the air screw, if the pilot was to big the idle or air screw wont do much to help. It could be the carb but I never have had a prodlem whith mine, 86.also if the pilot dosent do aney thing to help, or not enough, raise the needle clip one notch so it drops the needlel down.I run my needle 4 clips down but my bike is wildly ported and the head is milled and aslo the carb has been bored to a 35.when it was stock I think the clip was at the top, but i'm at sea level and usually ride in around 70-80 degree weather. when its colder your bike runs leaner and higher elevation im not shure if it runs lener or richer but it will do one.your pilot jet and needle highth is for jetting your bottem end and idle. hpe this can help. PM me with your reults.
