How many of you use a spark arrester when riding in areas that require their use? Have you ever been caught, or has another rider said somthing to you?

When riding in State Parks in PA u must have a spark arrestor. They will fine u if your bike does not have one. Besides would you like to be responsible for a forest fire just for a little more horsepower. I have a TC 405 ex MX racer and it has a straight pipe with no spark arestor. I only ride on mx tracks with this bike because it can start a fire in the woods.

Who needs a spark arrestor in NY? I ripped mine out right when I got it home, pffft.

i have the stock pipe on my mojave and it still shot flames and sparks out the pipe when i gased it real hard in 1st or 2nd gear once in my friends yard and it dident catch the yard on fire and looked real cool doing it too.

I had a DG type 2 silencer on my 250r for a while.It still had the stock pipe though.All the packing was gone and all that was there was the middle piece the canister and the end peice.I wne to st joe state park like this and no one said anything.That is the reason my piston cracked from no back presure.

Ain't a lot of stuff I got legal! '88 GMC Jmmy has no cats and glasspacks. '93 Stang has no cats and flowmasters. 250R is stock so I guess it's legal. Well the vehicles may be legal since we ain't got no emissions tests in Mississippi. he he

bahahah, legal, who's legal? Spark arrestor, what's that? oooo, that must be the thing I took off because it looked bad =) Well, I ain't much of a role model I suppose...I ride on the train tracks, all over the public roads...I ride in peoples fields, and on private parks =) Funny thing is I haven't gotten caught yet!! Chased down plenty of times but never caught...my day will come, they got a picture of me down at the station =)
