I would like to see a LIGHT intermediate size machine (in the 300EX category), with the CRF250 engine in it. Don't you think this is bound to happen someday???

In the newest issue of ATV Sport, this was hinted at by the Suzuki rep. He stated something along the lines of- It is an untapped market that is bound to be opened up soon. People that want to get into racing but not spend nearly $7,000 to do so would love to have the option of a $5,000 race ready 250 class four stroke racer.

I like this man's way of thinking, but I think it will take at least 5 more years of very successfull sales with the race quads for a 250cc racer to come out. But yes, it would be awesome to have the big boy 450 class and the light weight 250 class. The last I read, the Honda CRF250r weighed in at under 200lbs dry. Wouldn't it be great to get a quad that could produce 40hp and weigh less than 300lbs?

a "125" class is going to be a HUGE development in ATV racing.

I think they should bring a crf250 based quad out and replace the 300ex with it, although i love the 300ex, that would be a better than one...

no crf250 in a quad chassis will make 40 horsepower but it will likely be as fast if not faster than the 400cc machines out now.

The CRF250R weighs 208 lbs dry and pushes 33 hp. Roosthrower i think that too, use the yz250f engine, except for the fact the crf pushes 2 extra horse than the yz.
