Hey! Just wanted to know what a 400ex sells for on average. I know someone who is interested in maybe buying one but need an honest price(the dealers around here will rob you blind). Thanks for your time and responses. redhot

 

i got mine for 5400 but after tax and that crap it turned out to be like 6000. check around, you should be able to get a new used one for around 5000 with some aftermarket goodies. there is a guy on yahoo auction that has one for 3200.

I purchased my EX for $4,900. It was a new/used 2000. I would lean on the side of mostly new. Neither the frame nor wheels had any scuffs. It didn't even have any mud stains anywhere under the plastic. I almost thought it was too good to be true. I have been riding it for about 2 months and haven't experienced any problems. Good luck with your search. Just be patient and something will come along if not totally set on buying new.

I got a 99 used showroom condition with extras paddles,mohawks,graphics kit and dg bumper this quad was owned by a 65 yr old guy ridden 3 times. $5100 plus tax. New ones sell for $5860 here in MI.

 

Consider yourselves lucky cause I had to pay $8,900 for the 400EX here in the Philippines.

 

My friend who lives about an hour west of Minneapolis is thinking of selling his 400ex. It's a '2000 model, bought in Sept. of '99. Very low hours, bone stock, perfect shape. He knocked up his girlfriend (now wife) and is planning on selling it sometime. Probably asking around $5000. I got one at the same time, and we probably only went on maybe 2 or 3 weekend trips since then. I might be getting rid of mine as well. Let me know if you, or anyone, is interested.
