2003 Rincon for $5000 is this a good deal

I think that i'm going to buy it this afternoon. I hate to let this deal pass me up. Everyone has told me that it's a good looking quad for the price. Thanks for the recall info

The price is good if the quad is in good condition. 5 grand is pretty good for that quad. Look up on top of the engine and under the seat and in places that don't normally get washed (by a sprayer or anything). Check all that out. Check for dings in the racks or scratches to the plastic. A good way to see what the guy has been doing with it. Dings in the rims from hitting on rocks and all that. You can tell a lot, because a guy has to really be **** to clean mud and stuff off the frame up underneath the plastic. You can tell right off if he's buried it in the mud or something. Around the radiator is another good place. Check all that out, and if its in good shape, I say go get it. Thats a very good price in my opinion, and 680 miles isn't a lot.
Hard to say on a used quad without looking it over. You never know if he just farted around on trails with it, or if he buried it in the mud the first day and ran it up to top speed the first day he got it. It could be that he's got something wrong with it, or as simple as he's one of those guys that buys a different ride every year and decided he wanted a change.

It does have scratches on it. But the rest of it looks really good. I checked the air box and everything. No mud or signs of it being under water. The guy said that he did a lot of trail riding with it. It has 26" vampires with a gun case as well and a set of loading ramps. The rims all look really good. Just the plastic has a lot of scratches on it.

Ricky, here's a thought, are you financing or paying cash, not for sure but aren't there some low interest rates avail. from honda on the new one's, if so...your payment might be less on a new one than what your bank will offer you on this used one....if paying cash...S___or get off the pott....GO BUY IT!!!!

For his first post, that Jammer dude had a good idea. You might check that payment option thing, because a bank will finance a lot more on a new quad than a used, if they will finance at all.

Also, I know you are a ways off in Jacksonville, but if you don't mind driving a ways, there are some places that you can get some very good deals on Hondas. www.discountcycles.com is one that is normally one of the cheapest around. Bartlesville, OK and that is pretty far drive, but still, you can get a quote from them and maybe get a local dealer to try and get close to it. If nothing else, it would be a good arguing point. I drove to Jonesboro to get my Grizzly right after they came out. Sure it was over 500 miles round trip and a waste of an entire day, but it saved me $600.

I take that back, their prices aren't as good as they used to be. I saw new 450S hondas on there last year for like $4400. But I think that was during double bonus bucks or some promo.

Thanks for all the info guys. I already have a higher offer for it then what I payed for it. What do you recommend to get the scratches out. I guess that it was a pretty good deal. Thanks again for all the replys
