TRX450R Oil Change

I was reading the manual, and it recommends standard motorcycle oil in both cases. Specifically, without friction modifiers...Which oil does the clutch use?
I was under the impression that the clutch and tranny shared the same oil bath, and the engine used it's own oil. If that is the case, then I should be able to use top of the line synthetic in the engine, while using the standard, non-friction-modified oil in the tranny...but the manual seemed very specific about this...while also seeming very general...almost like they never updated the manual from the 400ex.
I know how to brake in an engine, and plan on running regular oil through her the first couple oil changes, I'm just asking about this for future reference.

Read this article. All the comments about the CRF engines, apply to your TRX engine. God bless Honda for separating the engine and trans oils! This has been a long time coming!

You can run any JASO MA oil in the trans, or 2-stroke trans oil. I would hightly recommend running trans oil, rather than an oil that is meant to do double duty as a trans/engine oil! Why seperate the two oils, and then just run regular old oil in trans? Doesn't make a lot of sense to me.
In the engine you can run JASO MA or MB oils. I would highly recommend running a slick MB oil. Again, why seperate the oils, and run an MA oil that is meant for a wet clutch?
So, I am going to run Honda GN4 (dino oil) in the motor until it is well broken in (first ~10 hrs.). After that, I will run slick Honda HP4M (a petrolium/synth blend with moly) in the engine. And in the trans, Honda HP Trans Oil.
