hey guys i got a question, i currently have a 12.5:1 compression ratio piston in my 440, and i want to go down to a 11:1 compression to get away from race fuel, Will i be able to do so without resleaving the jug? I'm very happy with my 440 kit, but i think i should of just done a 416 bore, Thanks for the help guys

 

Provided the cylinder walls aren't worn out of spec you should just be able to hone your cylinder and put in a new 89mm 11:1 piston and rings.

 

Right, I know that there is 89.25 and 89.5 pistons available if you do need to bore though. I thought I had them bookmarked for the web address but I cant find it. I think it was sparks that offered them??

 

i would think you should be able to get those from most racing companies. i would go with C&D, because it will be cheaper. their # is 308-696-7805.
