Wondering if worth adding K@N air filter and FMF exhaust on 2004 TRX350 Rancher. Think any valid power gains will be acheived, or am I smoking crack for trying to hop up a utlility ATV? I like the bike, want more power....

hey, nothings wrong with hoping up your utility quad..lol...but I dont think you'll notice a diffrience. if you want a racing power change, Id sell the quad and buy a 400ex, or the new 450

Thanks, I thought maybe any noticeable power gains from these mods might be null and void. Wished I'd asked first before ordering....

Molokai, anytime you will notice a pretty big improvement compared to stock, if jetted correctly with thouse mods.

Dont worry about the kits. I would go to a dealer, ask them what size you need(cheep mod its like a $4 thing). Or FMF could probally tell you. Its a really simple thing to do. You just need to get to the carberator and replace the jet.

You may want to bring it to a dealer, but my guess is they would charge like $20 for a 10 minute job

Is it important to jet after slapping on a pipe and air filter? If left alone, will it be ok?

You need to jet. You will run lean.

Called the Maui Honda dealership asking if I need to jet after installing the filter and pipe. Of course they said try it first to see if it sputters...(Hmmm....professionalism at it's best!) After, I emailed FMF to check, waiting for their response now...

(The dealer even said to jet will cost me $120.00 for parts and labor...ahhhh...it's good to live in the middle of the pacific ocean...so many options...yeah right...)
