Default Pinging noise

Ok i know this is not the yammy section but i am getting fed up with posting something over in that section and all these other people with the same old freaking questions everyday come in and push my important question all the way down to the bottom of a page in less than an hour, hopefully you guys can help me out cuz i am stupmed. Ok i have a 98 warrior that i just rebuilt the top end, every from the block up is new except for the heads, The reason i did this rebuild was because i was way down on power and it was ticking awfull. I just got it all back together and here is a list of things that i did. new valves, stiffer valve springs, weisco piston, stock bore, new cam, new timing chain, and anything else that i may be forgetting is also new, o and i have a K&N filter and adaptor, stock jetting still. but even when it idles it makes this dang tining sound, and when i rev it up it makes this sound also, i have no idea in the world wat it is, any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanx alot and again i am sorry for having to post in the honda forum, but the good news is i am getting rid of the yammi once i figure out y it is still piningy.

So you put a new piston in, so its probally not that. Are you sure its timed right? Valves adjusted right? You also will tick if you use to low of a octane fuel.

When you put the piston in, did it have any play?(not normal rotating), but could it go side to side and kinda wiggle?

That there could be causing it. Not sure if its ok to have a little or not. Could be your bearings also.

I read through what you have and you still have stock jetting on all that stuff? You would notice a big increase if you rejetted.

LOL. Im at the point on my 300ex where im not ever gonna sell it due to how much I plan on putting into it. Gonna lose couple grand to much if i sell it. After my 300ex is built I will probally save up some cash and build up the raptor.
