Default Squeaky shocks

Hey folks, I just bought a new 03 250ex for my wife and the front shocks squeak like the dickens! I removed them and lubed where the attach to the a-arms and the bolt with white lithium grease and it really didn't help much. I know it's kinda petty, but it's annoying as hell! Any suggestions?

It is likely your A arm buchings not the shocks. I had the same problem with my 2002 300EX I just sprayed the bushings with lube and that worked for me. My problem was the A arm bushings

That might be a possibility, although when I took off the shocks, I moved the a-arms up and down to confirm that it was the shock and there was no noise when just moving the a-arms.

The 250EX is famous for this! I sprayed some WD-40 up inside the shocks (at the dealers suggestion), and it didn't seem to do much. But it seems to have improved somewhat over time.

Try a silicone spray lube on the bushings.

Trevor i own a 300ex n have the same problem. The noise pisses me off. this might sound retarded but wut are the a-arm bushings? Are they the little rubber things on the a-arms. Just spray lube on them?

I brand new A-arms, and shocks put on my 400 and they squeak also. Very annoying, makes your bike sound like a piece of crap. Have a bad A$$ looking quad and pull up to a bunch of people and squeak squeak and they all look at you.
Let me know if you get your sound fixed.

Don't know if this helps but on Ranchers, the squeak comes from the metal collar inside the mounting holes for the shocks. Simply remove and grease with your favorite lube.

That's what I'm saying. I already did that. I'm going to take the shocks out again this weekend and spray them with "One Lube". That stuff gets anything apart! I'll let you guys know the outcome.
