Shouldve told him to check ebay.. there (RPM) going for 500 on there.
Tell him to look on ebay for an aftermarket axle. Ive seen lonestars ones going for under $400.
just checked.. heres one lonestar axle
tell him to stay away from trees from now on!

I'm not 100% sure if it has the same hookup as the 400ex or not but if so the cannondale's axles will probably fit. Read this. They're extremely strong and with the downfall of the company they can easily be found for alot cheaper than rpm's and such. I'd say it's worth a try, but if he doesn't want to experiment go with the rpm dominator 2. If I'm not mistaken not one has been broken yet. Bombsquad jumped them 150ft with no problem, but it's an 800 dollar axle. Ebay probably will be your best bet

I put a Durablue X-33 on my trx250r and I love it. Unlike most adjustable axles, you never have to mess with those annoying castle nuts. It adjusts by simply moving the hub in or out on the axle then a bolt goes through the hub and axle and locks securely. It's chrome plated and has a lifetime warranty. For $450 you can get the axle complete with lightweight billet hubs. I'll be riding at the Ocala National Forest this weekend....look for a black 250R spankin' YFZ's!
