Top speed of 400ex
#21
drummerguy84 does your brother have his throttle screw turned in or does he weigh 300 lbs. because the 400ex does about 65-68 because I ride with about 5 of them, and I also ride with 3 blasters and a blaster goes around 55 and a blaster and a 300ex go about the same speed so I know he can't even keep up with a 400ex because we race all the time
also I heard something about 99 400ex's going faster than they should but not 90 mph and I don't believe they would make a quad in 1999 go faster than the 2000,2001,2002,2003,and 2004's.
also I wished the raptor did 85 stock I have heard numbers for the raptor from 72-81 but wind, weight, tire pressure, if you are on flat ground going up or downhill, andthe terrain you are riding on will affect speed

Yeah, I know there are two different things, MPH and KPH. But I also know that if I were only going 65Mph and it was set to KPH, it would have told me near 100Kph. There is a huge difference is a huge difference there. Plus, I only weight 130lbs so I get an ideal run on the bike because of the little weight added. I could have hit 75mph on mine with ease, probably near 80mph doing on the slight 15 degree downward slope. Each bike will run differently. I might just have a 400ex that can do the higher speeds than other peoples. Plus I think due to my body size, I can achieve faster speeds. My friend got on it and could not top it but only at 50mph. He weights 300lbs.
ohh well who cares just ride

When the 400's were made there were a few that ran faster and a few that ran slower. So, all depends. His sisters boyfriend, bought a new 400 and stock it ran 90, but he broke it in right. too, that is a big factor in the end. So all depends but I would say 65-90 some where in there? Weird margin aye?

a raptor can only do about 80-85, so no way a ex can do anything even close to that.
