Sandman430 the 2 Z-400's that were racing with us at the last parking lot never even came close to losing to an 400ex.

I ride with a guy that owns a KFX. We can't tell the difference. We both recently went with a smaller sprocket in front and I lost more top end than he did. My mods are also identical to his even the tires.

i have never been out run by a suzuki or a kawi in nothin
unless they got a 440 or something like that

they don't appear to be any faster at all

kfx400/z400/dvx400 what ever you want to call them have 2 advantages over the EX
1. Liquid cooled
2. Reverse

Both good all around bikes but I like the z400's.

If you are buying new, get a z/kfx/dvx. If you are buying used, definately get a 400ex. Liquid cooling isnt a real big deal and you'd be surprised how little you actually NEED reverse.

just got a 04 EX for the wife, and i bet i can make it faster than any z for sure,,,
