alright, my buddy was changing his oil and i don't think this was his best day. well first he when the drain the oil and his stock aluminum oil tank snaped by the drain bolt. well then he went to put in a new oil filter and one of the two bolts that hold the filter cover on snaped off about 3/4 at the end of the bolt. well he got the oil tank welded back 2gether. but hoe the hell to get this segment of bolt outta the thread for oil cover. i think that the bolt goes all the way throught the side case. we couldn't get this thing out. we tryed to use just one bolt for the cover but it leaks oil. what do you think? hes had alot of lil problems with this 400ex in the 3 years he's had it. right now the starter seliniod is bad, his white bros pipe broke at the welds and the problems i just listed. if the bolt is broke, and sticking out...take a dremel and cut a slot in it, and then use a straight slot screw driver, otherwise try a vice-grips. and if it is in there, i hate to say to do this but drill it out, tap a bigger hole, get a new bolt, and put that in.

 

its waaaaaaay in there. we couldn't even fit a drill bit in there. he tryed to take the side case off but i think that part of the bolt was actaully holding it it there.

 

dang, I don't know what to do...

 

yeah man, hes in a bad situation to be in..lol. i feel bad that had to happen. maybe he can just replace the entire engine over one friggin bolt! lol
