high rev cdi

if u raise the rev limit u do increase power technically. horsepower fluctuates throught the rpm band and that is where u get the horsepower curve. if the bike u r working on doesnt reach its peak power before the rpm limit is reached than raising the limit will increase the power u can use. however u have to think how often u will use that. on my 250 the limit is 8750 rpm. i dont ever reach that before i shift and if i ever got it that igh it wouldnt be fore long. u have to ask yourself how often u would use the power. but yes it would give u more power if the curve can reach tat high. and u wouldnt blow the enging as long as u didnt do anything stupid.. hope this helped.

it really depends on how the engine is built. you know nascar engines can run wide oped 8000 rpm for 3 hours but thats how they're built. a stock quad especially a honda can probly handle it for 10-15 seconds but then some things may start happening. you may bog it or blow a head gasket or e if u push it hard enough u could damage the piston. just dont do something stupid like full throttle first gear up a hill. if u have a good modded motor with a forged bottom end do what u want. hope this helped.
