If by dirt you mean trails, I would highly suggest either the Foreman 450 with Traxlok(unless you'd settle for the slightly smaller RancherAT 400) or the Rincon which also has Traxlok. "Traxlok" incase you didn't know is the ability to switch in and out of 2x4-4x4 and trust me, you'll want that ability after a very short amount of seat time. If you'd like a Rubicon instead, I'd go ahead and have the dealership order and install a Warn 424 disconnect. This is basically the same as a Traxlok, but it's simply not a factory Honda part on the Rubicon. Why the smaller and bigger quad around it, but not the Rubicon itself has Traxlok, I do NOT know. That would be a great question to ask Honda sometime. Anyway, you can't go wrong with any Honda, but these are your best bets. I'll probably get trashed a little bit by our die-hard redriders on this forum, but it's an undeniable fact the the Kawasaki Prairie 650 & 700 are great machines too. You may want to take a close look into the Prairie with that large of a budget. Hope this helped!

Look at the Honda 2004 Rancher AT 400 model TRX400FA. We just bought one for 5999.00. Its is automatic or manual, your chose, it is 2 wheel or for wheel drive, your chose. We had to take the factory tires off and put some Mudlites on. Great machine.......
