400ex -pop start

Default 400ex -pop start

i have a 02 400ex --- i was wondering, since i dont have the starter solenoid is it ok to pop start it when ever i go riding? if not why is it bad, and what does it do?

I'd say it's probably not real good on the clutch.

Nah, It wont hurt the bike at all, might hurt your back though.

i jarry-rigged a toggle switch up *haha* until i get the starting solenoid.

If you still have the solenoid on the bike you can jump it between post with a screwdriver. This will start the bike. If that is the problem. Thought I would let you know.

u can pop start it no prob use 3rd or 4th gear

thanks, but thats where i put my toggle switch, i hooked it up to the 2 'posts' and then just have the toggle switch under the fender next to batter is where iu have it mounted. I wish i had put it up on my handle bars but this way is fine for the next week until i get one. --- thanks though!
