i just got an 04 400ex and today when iwas riding it started to smoke when i would rev whats the problem?

Probably just the packing in the sliencer, that is common because the packing is so new and it burns a bit making smoke...I think this is right

 

dude. my 400ex does'nt have packing. You un-screw the 3 bolts on the silencer and woah-lah it's just a screened filter type thing at the end that connects to your baffle. So when you take your baffle out your whole silencer is pretty much just empty/hollow. There fore you have no packing a 400ex.

 

yeah thats how mine is to. i thought only 2 bangers had packing

 

Thats EXACTLY right. 2-strokers have packing to help w/ noise and other things. but There is NO WAY IN HE!! a 04 400ex has packing in the silencer. Just no way.

yes they do have packing. just because you can't see it doesn't mean it's not there. I take it none of you guys have been past the first plate in the sliencer. you would have to cut the sliencer to get to it but it's in there.

Just tell everyone it's a new style two stroke it normal, GM Told a line about the KNock in their V-8 motors it worked they tell everyone that it is normal and won't hurt anything check this out...
Check this sight out everyone who owns GM or wants to buy one.
