Default 300ex or 400ex

Just got a Suzuki LTZ250 and thought it was underpowered on low end, so they will let me exchange it. Trouble is I really aint sure which is the best bang for the buck for low end performance ,woods trails with very little need for tope end speed. How much more of a thrill will the 300ex be over mine as its really only 282cc over the LTZ250 having 248cc? or even should I go 400ex and spend another $1500? Maybe the warrior 350 would do the job (if its got the low end stuff)

Recommendations?

the 400 is a really nice quad has smooth power and yet seems to move really well, the 300 is pretty fun and i'd take it over the 250 but it will be something you will probably want more later. dirtwheels picked the 300 over the other quads that size if that helps.

So its 'one step' to the 300ex and 'two steps' up to the 400ex.... or is the step much bigger between the 300ex to the 400ex?

The pros of the 300ex is it has reverse, decent power, and is one of the best trail quads ever due to how small it is.
The pros of the 400ex is it is fast, and it has pretty good handling. It all depends what type of trails you are going to ride.

the 400 and 300 are for my kids, the power is great on each machine, but if i had to chose one it would be the 400 it is a really nice machine not the brute power of my ds but still a very fun machine no matter what the enviroment

if you get the 300ex, you might be wanting more power in like a 1 or 2 years, so might as well get the 400 right away.

i wouldn't say the 400 is anymore steps than a 300 they both move out they both have power, just they 400 has a better feel it has the power to go thru the sand climb hills, do what ever to terrian offers. i wouldn't chose based on the reverse of that 300 either that is the worst setup i've seen, i think i would choose to get off and push than do that yoga exercise to get that thing in reverse. wel good luck you will enjoy which ever you choose
