My 250R need more?!?
#1
Hello,
I bought a mint 88 250R with a FMF fatty system,boyeson reeds,K&N filters,oem skids,renthal bars,twist throttle,wiseco piston, and supposedly duncan porting?
Anyway the quad is way to fast for the old suspension on it and it is twitchy as hell on hardpacked, the front end just wanders around like crazy so bad in fact that if you tried to look behind you, you would probably bite it.
So I'm thinking of widening it out and getting some shocks, but everything out there is just insanely retarded for price I mean there isn't quite enough there to justify spending $700 american on some stupid +2 a-arms.
So has anyone ever fabbed their own a-arms up? it can't be that hard I have access to a welder and shop equipment.
Also on a sidenote I got hammered by a new trx450 so I think once this handling issue is fixed it will be time for some motor work?
Thanks
Bubba

JD Performance and some great a-arms, around $500. I know you can look around for some great kits that does A-arms, front shocks, rear axle. MY buddy just bought Elka top shocks front and back with Jensen A-arms and Lonestar rear +4 Axcalibar axle for his 88 250R and spent around 2,000 bucks.
Not sure about making your own, unless you had one to get demensions off of. SHould not be to hard if you have the proper tools.
