Thank's for the help. What kind of riding do you do? What's your cc? Having ridden both stage 1 and 2 cammed 400's do you think I made a good choice in steping up?
The cam should be here tomarrow. I guess I should of tried to lean it out first.

the problem is you can never buy a quad that isnt stock you need to get to know it for a while before you start to change it its the number 1 unwritten rule and if you put a yamalaris sticker on it that will help mid to top end

i have a 10.8:1 406 right now. however, it is coming down this or next week so i can put in a 426. i have rode both stage cams. the stage 2 makes power at higher rpms. the stage 1 (in a 406) was a better "all around" cam. for just high rpm power, the stage 2 does rev a bit more. in a drag race it is tough to notice a difference in power. the power bands are quite different. i would try the cam out and if you prefer more low rpm power for trails or coming out of corners, put the stage 1 back in. i am mainly interested in drag racing so the stage 2 suits me just fine. however, my stock rev box does hold me back.
