My top end does not climb at all. I know im either too lean or too rich. I think i need to lean it out a little bit
symptoms:
1.top end does not climb even close to my bros 400ex or like it youst to
2.it will pop everyonce and a while and stall
3.doesn't like to idle
4.smells like gas

what do you think guys?

I richend it up last night. I'm going to be messing around with it all day today. Trying to get it to pull when i hit 3rd gear. Get it perfect while my fenders and gas tank are still off from adjusting my valves.

 

I was planning on going out today, but I woke up with a head cold. So I am not going to make it. Thanks for the offer though. Me and my bro are going to work on it.

 

I need a new bolt for my float bowl if I toss the Dial-A-Jet b/c i had to tap a hole into that for the DAJ. That thing is a waste of money. I'll tweak around with it today though. I'll prolly order a new bolt and put that pile of crap on the shelf.

 

Thanks. before i put JB weld on, im going to try richening and leaning out the carb...mess with it a little bit before i do that. I'm going to Bauers pit Next sunday.
