My brother just bought a Pro Design kill switch for his 400EX. Is there a way to wire the tether to the engine kill switch on the handlebars. This way the only way to shut off the quad will be the key or the tether. The directions say to connect the long wire to a positive coil wire and the short wire to a ground on the bike. What color wires should I use to wire it to the engine kill switch?

Why would you want to do it to the engine kill switch?? You want it to be how they state in the directions they give, that way you know for sure the switch will work....if you don't want the stock kill switch on there, you can remove it.

 

I've seen it done this way and it works great. But I don't know what color wires to use???

 

yes but my question is why?? the other way is easier, and then it is done correctly too, and dependably. Up to you I guess
