I have a friend getting a new 300ex and hes wondering is he too big for it? Hes 5'8 around 175lbs.hes 15

 

i dont think it will be to bad anything over 6 foot and i would start to wonder, if hes buying it he has riden one or atleast sat on it im sure. He should know if its to small or not. I think he will be fine.

 

it depends, if he's still growing, then he might get a lil big for it. i got a 300EX when i was 15 but i was 6ft. i ended up gettin a 400EX about 5 months later. the 300EX is a good quad, but if he's gettin it for the long term, and is gonna hit 6 feet, or close to it, then i'd say go with the 400ex if he has the money.

I would say he is just at the borderline. I am 5'7" and 190 lbs., and I don't feel cramped or uncomfortable on the 300, but it isn't luxurious either. Especially when climbing hills, it is nice to have a larger frame bike where you can stretch out and distribute your weight (not to mention the extra power!). On the other hand, if all he rides are tight trails, the 300 makes a nice quick little trail bike. Otherwise, pick one of the 400's.

 

if yall are talking about him fitting on a 300ex, i am like 14 5' 1" and like 90 lbs and i am getting a 400ex

 

i have a 400ex and the z400 is alot faster plus it has reverse get the z400. i love my 400ex but if i had to choose beetween the two i would get the z400...the 300ex is to small

 

id say go for the 400ex
