What do we want new of the 450r

If it had +2 a-arms, it wouldnt fit in my truck , thats the only thing stopping me from them. Dohc wouldnt be bad (like mentioned). I would like an electric start but the same weight that it has with a kick start. Thats about all i need really. Im impressed with the power, handling, and suspension, so its all good with me.

Rear linkage fix, thats pretty much my only complaint but the rear suspensions ok cuz im not a pro. Other than that, im 100% happy with mine.
DOHC... i highly doubt you would get any more power from a DOHC. Why would you want maybe 1-2 hp if that and then have to pay double for aftermarket cams. Just wouldnt be worth it to me.
Some ppl may want a lower first gear; i never see first gear on the trails i ride on so it doesnt bother me.
Electric start; i wont start to complain until it takes more then one kick to start. Optional kick/electric wouldnt be bad if you didnt have to dish out another 400 bills for it. It would be cool if it came from the factory with both. If they come out with e-start only, ill be happy i got an 04'.

Electric start is a joke IMO. what do you do when your battery or starter fail? And dont even say they dont. My kick start will work until my leg breaks and even then if I needed to I could start it with help from another quad towin me. As for beatin the YFZ it's all a matter of personal opinion. People claim the Yamaha makes more HP but in drags theyre reported to be even, so can we assume that Honda made better use of their power? Maybe its the extra cam slowin down the Yamaha! A +2 swinger would be nice but no longer because then it'd be hard to wheelie. You can forget about different colors as Honda hasnt offered two colors to choose from in the same model year. They may change em every year or so. And IMO the suspension once adjusted is extremely capable of handling most obstacles, maybe they could retune the rear but it doesnt need much.

well how high does the motor rev? i would LOVE to see and agressive form of variable valve timing on one of these high reving motors, but that would mean EFI or the trickest carbeurator system ive ever seen.
i dont doubt hondas decision to go with the SOHC, honda knows their **** big time when it comes to valve trains and how to make power there.

Wow...all of these posts and I still didn't find what I would like to see the 450r gain next year
REVERSE!!!!! I'm suprised no one mentioned that...and ya an electric starter would be nice if you still had the back up kickstarter..but that would add some weight...thinking about that issue....why does the yfz have electrical start and still weights the same as 450r!?? ohwell...none of this is going to stop me from buying the 450r later this year!! as for the high first gear...a 13t sprocket would help alot..and I like the idea of a higher first gear for hill climbing
