Default Need a pipe for my 250ex

Im 15 and Ill be buying a vehicle soon, so I cant be getting a 400ex or nething bigger right now so dont tell me to get a bigger quad. I like the 250ex, and I just want to get a little bit more power to settle me over untill I can buy a 400ex without any problems paying for a truck at the same time. Id like a nice cheap pipe for all around power (low end through top end). If any of you know any reviews on pipes for the 250ex, please post a link. Also, whats involved in rejetting the engine for the exhaust. Any tips would help alot, I dont know a whole lot on this stuff. Id like to do it myself to save money. Thanks.

Upgrade air filter to K&N or Uni. Open up the airbox and get an Outerwear (unless you ride in water). Then adjust your jetting with the new pipe. You will wake up that lil EX. I put a motionpro twist throttle on mine, which is personal preference, it works great.

One more thing... HMF pipes for 250ex are selling on Ebay for under $200.

I found this, http://www.denniskirk.com/jsp/produc...Id=&leafCatId=, and it says the outerwear is water repellent, so would that be all right for riding in water? Sorry for the dumb questions, im just learning. Also, if i decided to get a pipe later on, would the jet kit have the things needed to rejet it again? Thanks for the help.

I would go with the HMF pipe, sounds great. We put on a UNI air filter, I like this better than the K&N. We got our pipe from C&Dracing.com

Ok, this is the setup im thinking about. A Fmf megamax II, Uni airfilter, and Fmf jet kit. I figured out that its will come to about 260 or somewhere around there, which sounds good to me. Does anyone have any experience with this set up or any opinions of it? Plus, I found someone who can do the rejetting for me.

I hope you aren't paying? It's easy and it would be a good learning experience.
