Default factory oil or after market oil for 400ex
i own an 03 400ex and i need to do an oil change... what oil is better the factory honda oil or an after market oil

Any quality motorcycle oil will work. I personally use Yamalube 4R in all my bikes & quads..it runs about $7 a quart.

I personally prefer Honda HP4. It is a synth/petrolium blend...........best of both worlds!

Ive just been using castrol 10w40 in mine for years and never had a bit of trouble.

I used to always run castrol 20w50, but since i got my FST ex, i run the gn4 that my dealer sells.
