I would say between a 185 and a 190 main. I'm running roughly the same setup but with a sparks full exhaust and I'm using a 190 jet. My elevation is 600-1000 ft. 190 may be just a tad bit rich, but it runs pretty good. Hope this helps.

I sold my YFZ out in Glamis after leaving it out there for the winter before driving my car back to MN.
I now am on my second YFZ. Had every opportunity to purchase a Honda however after seeing their performance in Glamis, I easily had a new YFZ in my garage when I got home quicker than how long it took you get your new Honda after telling everyone you allready had it.
Next winter I may actually purchase a new Honda.. CR450 Moto-X for Glamis dunes.

Crap, sorry dude- forgot to tell you that I have the HRC kit - the needle is different, it has a differenct taper.....
the clip position is the same. I think it is in position 3. I talked with Sparks awhile back and they said they were going to put out a jet kit. The said the jets and the needles would be basically the same as the needles in the HRC kit. Hope this helps.

With the YFZ, the Yamaha kit needle in the GYT=R kit is essentially the same needle used in the 450 dirt bike.
I'm wondering if the Honda HRC needle is the same one used in the 450 dirt bike. Do your jetting instructions that came with the HRC kit have the number or code of the needle provided with the kit?

MNRAP,
I came back here and once I read it I realized I didn't sound sarcastic at all. I hope you took it that way.
I have not messed with any jetting on the stock needle, not sure how its taper effects the main. Stock needle # C55A HRC #C51B
