Our 300EX has a bad gas oder. It also seems like it uses alot of gas. I've checked the carb and pulled the plug to see if gas is leaking into the engine with no signs of any. There is no signs of gas in the oil, and also no signs of it leaking out on the ground. Has anyone else had problems with gas leaking somewhere on a 300? It runs great, just stinks.

 

I have had that from time to time on my 250ex...usually when it's colder out. I was told it is the gas fumes not evaporating....my quess is you won't have this when it warms up more...maybe it's also very humid by you now also...i would say that cold and humidity could be the issue.

 

I don't think that the warmer weather will help. I really hope it doen't get to much warmer. Its been in the mid to high 80's lately. Thanks though!!!
