Default IS THIS POSSIBLE?!?!?!?!

OK, I was out riding today when iu saw this dude flying up and down the road on what had to be the junkiest 400ex I have ever seen, the only thing spoecial about it was the DMC full exhaust so I challenged him to a race, thinking he would have no chance. WRONG! I got my *** handed to me! he pulled ahead the entire time and ended up beating me by 3 bike lengths. I went back to my garage, added some discs to my supertrapp silencer and put the 14 tooth sprocket back on (i had a 15 tooth the first few races) and I raced hom again, I got the holeshot every time but somehow he still managed to beat me by 2 bike lengths. I asked him what he had on it and he said it was all stock except for the DMC full system, wiseco 11:1 piston, a jet kit and a K&N air filter. Is this possible or is he lying his *** off? I have raced quite a few quads and I rarely lose and I have never lost to another 400ex. The only thing that I could think would be a major factor is taht I dont have many hours on the top end and maybe it isn't broken in all the way but still, could that really cause me to lose?

u never know with those old quads, he prolly just shifts perfectly that helps

oh yea, this race was after i swapped out my piston for an 11:1 wiseco, the same one he was running.

Sounds like you may have burned it up. You might want to tear it down to see whats wrong with it. If there is a problem it can get worse, and cost alot of money.. If it wasn't sleeved right it would have wore out the bore, or if it was jetted wrong it could have wore it out. I can't of any thing else to cause your smoking problem.
