Ok The way i drain my tank is to drain the float bowl with the gas on, the float bowl drain is on the bottom of the carb, there will be a hose running out of the bottom with a screw above it, unscrew this until the gas starts to come out and put a gas can under it and wait, it may take a while but i guarantee it will drain

I'm not sure what I just did, but it sure caused a mess. I found the hose that led from the gas regulator (on/off, res) and unplugged it from whatever port it was connected to (carb?) It had very little room to pull out into a container so I had to jerryrig a tube that funneled the gas into a container, dripping gas everywhere in the process. Any tips on cleaning a tiled garage floor w/ about a half-gallon spill? What and WHERE is the carb. I still am not sure at the point. I'm pretty sure this mystery float bowl (which I'm not sure it is too) hose was under the thing I had unplugged.

The Carbuerator is what sends fuel into your engine it is located between the engine and the airbox ( where the filter is located) it will have screws and hoses running everywhere but don't mess with any of that, and another thing don't ever disconnect anything unless you truly know what you are doing (hoses, wires). The float bowl is the bowl looking thing on the bottom of the carbuerator with a hose connected to it running down. The float bowl should have a flathead screw on it, open up that screw and your gas will drain out of the hose, now the hose won't be very long so position your can or bucket before you open up the screw.

Next Time take the atv outside when you drain the gas and the spilling problem won't be as bad.

I think it was a hose on top of carb that I took out.

I would really appreciate if you made a picture diagram of what I was supposed to do. After going to 2 forums and a call to the dealer I got it from, I'm still unclear, thanks!
