450r or raptor

lol in another post u were asking about a 250ex. the 450r is deffinatly a step up from that. but as for ur question. i would say get a 450r. its lighter and proboblly just as fast, better handling/suspention.

if all of your friends have yamahas get a 450r for towing them when they break down lol jk if mude is a typo for mud i think the raptor is better, having reverse and probably more clearance but i think i would rather have a 450r

well it really depends on where you are going to ride. trails and mx go 450r, dunes and all around riding go raptor.

yeah, if you ride mud forget about the 450r. you would stall it and get pissed when you have to kick it to get it going again after a stall. it really doesnt like to stall. first is too low to ride mud.
you'd be happier with a raptor for what you want to do. plus if its torque you want, the raptor has gobs of it.

You're talking about a big-block Chevy, vs. a F-150 Lightning. Apples and oranges.
If you mostly go slow and do mud drags, go with the raptor, hands down. If you want to go fast, in ANY kind of terrain, go with the 450R or YFZ.
As far as *I* am concerned, the only difference between the 450R and the YFZ is ergonomics. I wanted a wheeler that I could ride all day long and not feel like I got run over by a truck...so I got the 450R, with a slight trade-off in performance. If you want pure performance, go with the YFZ...just don't come complaining back to everyone when you have a sore butt.
From what you described, I'd go with the Rappy. Though, you might also consider a Z400. Basically the same as the Raptor, with a taller power band, and MUCH better handling.
