I just hate the current trend toward huge, heavy ute machines. Nothing bigger than a Rancher for me!
I totally agree. Over time, the makers have increasingly made gigantic and heavy machines.
I kinda think that these big boys are more dangerous than a sport bike. A sport bike is lighter, handles better and if you roll it, you may not get hurt as bad. But a gigantic 700lb ATV flipping over on you will be felt. And I have known of people that have gotten killed that way. A few of them drownwd b.c the overly hefty ATV kept them pinned underwater. Its really sad.

yes, the recon is an excellent machine. if you dont need to pull gigantic loads (even though we have) or continually go thru alot of deep mud and stuff, this bike packs alot of utility for a good price and its actually a fun to ride bike. its no 250/450R, but its not a peice of crap either.

i have the july issue too. The front cover has the title Giant 4x4 shootout and a picture of Jon doing the backflip
