Default ESR Reedcage on the R motors

Just curious from any of you out there who might be running these. We seem to be having to replace the reed petals about twice a season. Now keep in mind that only about 6 months is actual riding time as it is too cold or too hot. We service the piston on the big bore every 40hrs as recommended, but to me the petals seem a little on the big side and maybe just not designed to last too long. Any comments?

Are the corners of the reeds chipping?
I had the ESR cage on a big bore and noticed the corners must have been hitting the intake area thus chipping the very corner.
I switched to a Delta cage and no more problems.

Thanks Mike, I actually ordered a V-force 2 cage already. At almost $60 a pop not including shipping it gets expensive quick. I have a neighbor with the 370 and he has the Delta cage and no problems yet.
