Default GPScape question

Hi all, I have an 04 Rubicon & have a question on the GPS feature. I understand how to enter waypoints but how do I clear the waypoints once I don't want them anymore? I know I can replace they waypoints with new ones but I just want to clear them off. For instance, I went on a trip where I used waypoints 1-6. Now that I'm back home I would like to clear those waypoints off & start fresh. Can I simply clear the waypoints or will they always be there until I replace them? Owner's manual says only how to replace them. Anyway, I am new to this forum and have learned a great deal from reading posts. Thanks, Dan. Love the Rubicon.

Default GPScape question

I have the Rancher AT - it is not the GPS model but my manual covers the GPS model - so I'll tell you what my manual says- it may be the same as yours but could not be the same at all.

1) Select the waypoint number you want to delete.

2) Press and hold the WP button for about 2 seconds, until the waypoint number flashes - then release the button.

3) Within 5 seconds of releasing the button - push and hold both the + and - buttons at the same time and hold for more than 2 seconds to delete the data of the waypoint number.

Now - these instructions are under a section titled - "To Mark Your Present Position". So I don't know if this will get rid of that waypoint for you if you stop after the instructions above. The instructions go on to tell you how to mark your present position under the waypoint you just deleted the data for but to set your present position on this waypoint number do step 4.

4) Within 5 seconds of the data deleting - TAP the WP button - do not press and hold - only tap. - the direction indicator should change and point in all directions - as soon as you start moving it will begin pointing to the position you were when you set it.

There is no instructions in my manual specifically for deleting waypoints. Being able to copy over existing waypoints instead of continuing to add them until it is full may be what you are wanting to do if I read you right.

Hope this might help ya - good luck

Default GPScape question

Hey many thanks Jokerguy. My Rubi manual did not have anything at all about how to delete the waypoints, only how to replace them. I just didn't want a bunch of points in there that I don't need anymore. Anyway thanks again, will try first thing in morning, Dan.
