Two weekends ago, I watched, as Scott from Highlifter, rode a Rubicon with 28" Outlaws out of a mudhole on the rear tires 9-10 times. He did not seem to have any power or torque problems. The engine may not have been set up right by the dealer or it could be "pilot error".
Muddy Rancher-who rides which bike?

The Rancher was mine, but now that I have the Rubi the wife will ride the Rancher.

Np problems. I have 20 hours on it. The only "problem" was waiting on the stwps to get some welding done and to the the Outlaws to fit, without rubbing.

I've had mine in water about 2 inches below the bottom of the seat, and haven't experienced any loss of power, or electrical problems. I'll check that connector anyway though. Thanks for the info. Oh BTW, mine is red.

TxDoc2, I was asking about mods (modifications) and not probs (problems). Just wanted to know if you found any toys for me to buy.

muddawg-

My friend's Ruby is green as well . . . coincidence? I did not notice it backfiring any but it did die on him sveral times in the deep mud holes. Don't know why. Keep me posted on anything you find out.

Well, here is what was said. Honda knows about the problem. Yes, I said problem, not "pilot error". There was a batch of bad cpu's for the machine that did not keep their programming. They reset the it right from the controls of the machine. There is a step by step guide Honda is sending out to the dealers on this. I will be picking mine up tomorrow and testing it out. I'll post to let everyone know how it goes. Hopefully this will not be on on-going thing and the reset will keep.
