I'd really like to have a 416 kit
but i dont know everythign that i need...
is it just the pistons and cam?
or is there more to it??

 

ok, you will need a piston, gaskets, and the cylinder to be bored to the size of piston your running. you will need new oil and a oil filter. i don't know if your installing it or a shop is but if you are don't do it without a service manual. now, you can run the stock cam if you want but the stock one will really really hold you back. if you run a hotcam (or any other cam where you don't use the stock decompression assembly that comes on the stock cam) you need to remove the spring and plunger in the head. this spring and plunger are both small and they sit right in the head. if you do the work you will see clearly in the owners manual what i am talking about. if a shop does the work, tell them they need to remove that spring and plunger given you will run a hotcam. some of the aftermarket cams use the stock decompression assembly and in that case you would leave that spring and plunger in the head. here is what i would do. i would call up C&D racing. they will give you the best prices and help. you will either talk to colby or dusty. just let them know your new at this and need some assistance. if you need anything else let me know. you can mention my name to them (Cal) and they know me incase you need something. they are probably going to want you to register on www.exriders.com

i don't know anything about the compression thing. once again, ask C&D when you call about the RTC levers. i have a feeling they will tell you that is what they recommend. by the way, they can get all of the parts your looking to get.

 

So alls that i need is the full 416 kit and a cam...im gettin the stage 2 hotcam...
