Default 400ex jetting instructions

I'm getting the stage 2 dynojet kit for my 400. I want to know what i should have it jetted at. The exhaust that i have (DMC full) says that it should be 155, however, with the K&N filter and outerwear lid, should i bump it up?

You are going to need to jet a little higher. Jetting as you might know/or don't - isn't an exact science. You will have to play around with it a little before you get it where you want it. If you are going from stock jetting - to - no lid/k&n/outerware/DMC pipe ----- 1-2 jet up from what you have now will be close. You might have to adjust the slid needle though for perfection.

the thing is, the dynojets and keihin jets are numbered differently. so a 155 keihin is NOT the same as a 155 dynojet. the dynojets run a little bigger than the keihin jets. also, the elevation and the temperature you ride in is very important for choosing what jets to run.

What im asking is, will they jet it to their own feeling? Or will they just jet that to what the instructions would say?
and if this is so, and they jet it wrong, can i tweak it to my discretion?

Put the 170 dyno jet in it and it will be so close you would probably never notice a difference with other jetting.

i don't know how the shop will jet it. instructions should come with the kit. however, i would run smaller than a 170 dynojet if it was me. with my built motor and 80 degree temperature and my elevation at 625 feet above sea level i only need about a 160 keihin mainjet.

by the way, my stage 2 cam is gone. sorry 400exmagician

however, if you need any help let me know.
