i am trying to decide on which cam to get it is between the stage 1 hotcam, the webcam for all around riding or the web cam for full raceing, i am going to be riding in trails and wide open areas so i am going to be going pretty fast, i do top it out but i dont know which cam to get, i am going to have a curtis sparks exhaust and a power pack which comes with air filter, outerwear, jets and cleaner and that junk so i dunno what to get can u help?

Stage 1 Hotcam=hot cam

Web cam (all around)= all around webcam

webcam (race)= race web cam

I, like you am looking into a new cam. I have looked into the HotCam 2 cam. I read up on this and they say its great for topping out and for more speedy riding, you should check out my forum...

the stage 1 hotcam isnt recomended for any big bores, so like nothing over 426, it will give you more low end and midrange power without sacrificing top. the hotcam stage 2 will love to rev out, it will want to be in the upper rpm range and that is were most of you gains will be. im not sure about the performance of the webcams, sry.

I have had alot of freinds/customers be happy with the web cam - go nothing other than racing with webcam or white bros. As for Hotcam, I have no expereince.

with the web cam it is recommended that you have hardened rockers. you can't use hardened rockers with either stage 1 or 2 hotcam.

i would call up web and confirm this. i know some people use stock rockers with the least aggressive web cam but i would do what web says. the rockers are in the top valve cover. they kind of rest on the cam. its hard to explain exactly. to be honest with you, i would buy a hotcam and not worry about rockers. it would be the cheapest thing to do and the power will be similar. everyone has their own opinion though.
