K&N Air Filter
#2
And as i look at pictures of these filters...why is one with a black/plastic backing, while the other holds a metallic backing?
is this the same thing, with just different pictures, for those of you who have K&N filters, what does the back look like, metal or plastic?

you aren't much af a magician are you........
N E Way, The KN has two options somtimes - it comes with black plastic cap or the black plastic cap is covered with a shinny metal cap that makes it look cool. You don't need metal cap. As for KN factroy replacment filter is what you need, the other options won't be for you. Unless you want to tear out your airbox and just run a filter on the end of the carb (don't recomend)
