I have a blaster right now but its sorta slow, small, not enough power....... so im thniking about getting a 400ex im 5' 10" 150 pounds and im 14 will the 400ex be good for me

I think I want to get one used (year 2000 or newer) because im tight on money about hom much will that cost . and will you please thell me the pros and cons about this quad


ps. how much money will i get for my blaster. it a 2000 blaster with a dg silencer itp rear holeshots and banshee shocks

 

about 1500 for the blaster, and 400ex would be great for you

400ex around 3000 for a good used 2002

they are an air cooled 4 valve 4 stroke (XR400 engine) that has been around for ever and is bulletproof.

It is a good handling bike for the trail or track. They make decent low end power, but they really cant compete with the big bores of today. The 400 ex is a great quad ,,,,for what it is.

Im also 14 and i have riddin the 400ex and i liked it alost of power under you. only problem with it on the farm i ride is no reverse.

I agree with u totally about that. Ive had my 04 400ex for a month and im a better rider without reverse.

 

I am selling my 1988 blaster to a guy for 1500. I m not trying to sound mean, but sell it to an ignorant person. This guy couldn't tell a rincon from a 450r. I don't think my blaster is worth but 500. As for the 400ex, the one I am getting in a week is a 2001 completely stock and for 2900.
