Default Spit and sputters..???

Every now and then when I ride my 400ex and pop a wheelie it will start to spit aand sputter. It did this at the dunes while I was going up a hill also, and when I just get on it shifting gears. It has to be something with the card I assume. What do u think.

Yes think about it. Your carb and cylinder are at diffrent angles now. Less and less gas will make it to the cylinder to be burnt so it starts to lean out. Also all the oil goes to one side of the cylinder so that could make it run rougher.

I understand that point, but It never did it before. Any of my bikes I cant remember ever doing that when popping a wheelie. Why all of a sudden, this sucks

It did it very bad today. I was stopped and then got on it hard and in 3rd gear it would die. it spitted for a good 5 minutes, not letting me give more than half throttle. I took the airbox lid off and reved and it stopped.

a 400ex is a dry sump motor, as far as the carb ,check the float or get a super bowl . also something like water is heavier than gas and will sit in the bottom of your tank or carb. when at an angle or acceleration it would slide back with gavity. just a thought
