i am just curious to know what the little white tub is that connects to the intake boot that connects the airbox to the carburator. im sure u know what im talking about, the little white tube then goes to a white box and goes off in 2 different directions. what is this, and what does it do. thanks. if im correct, its some breather tube for maybe the crankcase???

i got a 300ex for my girlfriend and saw that little tank too, well what it is, is a seperation tank for the crankcase vent, blowby and fumes from the oil pressureize the crankcase, this has to go somewhere, it is sucked into the intake tube from the passing airflow, the large surface area inside that tank lets the oil in the fumes settle out and then drain back into the crankcase through the lower tube, a simple reliable system with no external vent to get dirty and clog, lates... josh....
