That looks like a pretty good out the door price. What color did you get? You know red is faster!

I wouldn't get the extended warranty it's a Honda
give it a little TLC and it will run for ever.
put the extra money in to a set of good skid plates or something.

by the way Red is faster it's a proven fact

you got the best, if you really want to buy a warrenty get a polaris then you might get to use it. had my rancher for almost a year, no warrenty, no problems....enjoy

The warrenty on my Rancher expires in two weeks, I am not going to get the extended warrenty.

I would NOT get the warranty. I would recommend the factory service manual. You can get this from Helm online. It covers all of the maintenance, etc. and is easy to follow. If you take care of your bike, it will take care of you. Most likely the dude that blew out the rear shock was "abusing" the bike and this is why it blew...not because it was crap. If you want to jump your quad all day long you need a bike that is built for this such as the 400ex or a Banchee etc. I love my Rancher and I feel it will last me as long as I take care of it.
