Default Rancher ES problems

I got a Rancher 350 ES 2x4 and the gear number will start flashing and i can't shift. We've manually shifted it back into N and then it will work again for a while then do it again.....well lately we can't even ride it......and about a week after mine started doing it my sisters Recon starts doing the same thing! its an ES as well.....I have warranty and they are going in the shop this week..Just wondering if anyoen else had this problem.....i'm about ready to trade in this es b/c its the 2nd time mine has done it! The first time the ES controller unit lost a bolt and fell off......

Sounds like it could be out of calibration but I doubt it unless you damaged it when it fell off. Usually when that shifting problem happens all you have to do is rock the machine and it will shift, its just in between shift points.

Yeah, rocking the quad side to side and up/down seems to do the trick. Have you tried doing this?

speedo is on at 00, if you get it to N you can rev it and it'll show like 2mph like it always does.....

u checked the wire that i mentioned in the previous post that i replied to? thats always the cause of the ESP failure, b/c the wire is exposed to anything that could come from the ground and cut it.
