I just bought a 05 250EX this last Saturday and we took her for a ride on Monday. What a machine, handles real good and rides real smooth. I was really thinking about getting a 300EX but I am glad I got the 250. The family had a great time breaking her in . My son had a little accident on it when he landed bad on a small jump and flipped the bike over. Luckily he was wearing all the safety equipment. The bike came out with minor scratches and a small dent in the rim, which I will have to get fixed but it is still rideable. I can't wait to take it out again this weekend.

The friend I ride with has a 300EX and I noticed a little knocking noise coming from his engine. I thought wow this is a 04 model and it is already knocking. I told him he need to get that in the shop before it gets any worse. Oh well I just thougt I would share.

Good luck with your new quad. How much does a 250ex sell for in Hawaii? Are there a lot of places to ride?

 

The dealer was asking $4100 for it but he gave me a little discount. I paid $3800 out the door. I really don't know if I got a good deal but considering Honda lists it's MSRP $3499 I figure shipping tax and etc. I came out ok. There is alot of places to ride but not to many legal places. We have a local track but it is mostly designed for MX. There is a group here that is trying to get some land for a Off road park but it is tough to aquire this precious land. The local club puts on poker runs about three times a year which lots of fun.

wicked but that sucks that its a lot for shipping out there.. Its always like free shipping to the lower 48 states.. that sucks
